'Hivernation' is a compilation series featuring tracks produced during the lockdown by artists connected to the label. It's an open-ended temporary project that wants to reflect on the situation imposed by the pandemic. Everything has been put on hold, with painful consequences for many people. But this unexpected interlude also means a chance for structural changes and new consciousnesses. As a label, what we do best is to share music from artists in our orbit. This compilation is a way of documenting a unique time for electronic music producers. With no spaces to carry out their work, the situation is delicate for many of them. But this change in schemes also means that new perspectives will arise, leading to exciting musical paths. Confinement is being an especially challenging time for creativity. Uncertainty about the future and the obligation to drastically change our behaviors can take a toll on our mental clarity. We are able to think more than ever, but it's easy to end up blocked by our concerns. In this situation, artistic creation and consumption is even more decisive. It's a way to open cracks in a seemingly stagnant reality. This series aims to be a sonic manifestation of something that we, as a society, have not yet assimilated. Something like a hibernation in the middle of spring. The artwork of the compilation is a collaboration between Guillermo Lucena and Sociedad 0. The full digital bundle includes print-ready files of a multi-format poster in high-definition that can also be adapted as a screensaver for laptop or phone. Most of the revenue generated by the release will go directly to all the artists involved.
